Anushka Sharma keeping shoot commitments at bay till 2022: Reports

Anushka Sharma welcomed her firstborn, Vamika in January this year and the actress remains on a maternity leave ever since. Currently in England accompanying husband Virat Kohli for the World Test Championship, reports are doing the rounds that Anushka plans to continue staying away from the camera until next year.

 A report on Peepingmoon suggests that with the second wave of Covid-19 extending Anushka’s maternity leave and a third wave soon expected to follow, the actress will only return to face the cameras in 2022 and is presently focused on her newborn daughter Vamika.

Anushka who is also a producer and has doled out some really engaging projects on OTT during the pandemic has lots of activity going on in her production house Clean Slate Filmz. The actress is backing two upcoming projects on Netflix including Mai featuring Sakshi Tanwar and Qala which stars Tripti Dimri and Babil Khan. The production house also has an Amazon Prime Video film featuring Aditya Roy Kapur in works while Patal Lok season 2 is also in the pipeline. The actress shares responsibilities of the production house with her brother Karnesh Sharma.

On the acting front, Anushka will reportedly resume shoot for a film based on former cricket captain of the National Women’s team Jhulan Goswami in mid- 2022.
