Arjun Bijlani On Sushant: ‘He Was A Happy-Go-Lucky Guy; Never Found Him Grappling With Mental Health Issues’

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise left the entire nation heartbroken. While some reports suggest that he took this devastating decision because he was suffering from depression, there are many controversies doing the rounds which state that either his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty or the ‘movie mafia’ had something to do with it. Well, Sushant’s friend and former neighbor, actor Arjun Bijlani does not feel that he could have decided to take his life because of reasons such as nepotism or depression.

Talking about the same in a chat with Mid-Day, Arjun shared that Sushant was a happy-go-lucky guy and they used to regularly discuss work. They talked about how ‘outsiders’ can make it in films and the late actor always told Arjun that not belonging to a filmy family did not bother him. Arjun shared, “He used to tell me that these things are trivial, and he would fight against all odds to achieve his dreams. So, I really don't feel that he would (allegedly) commit suicide because of such reasons.”

Arjun further stated, “Sushant was not someone who would get depressed over things. Also, during our friendship, I never found him grappling with mental health issues. He was also not someone who would be bogged down by financial concerns. So, I am baffled by the multiple theories that are floating about Sushant's death.” The actor went on to add that he sincerely wants the real reason behind Sushant’s death to come out because a happy, promising and talented guy like him just disappeared from our lives. Arjun is also happy that CBI is now investigating the case and hopes we get closure soon.
