Made in Heaven actor Arjun Mathur is basking in the glory of his Emmy nomination for the show. The actor who was widely appreciated for his portray as a homosexual man in the acclaimed series opened up about doing intimate scenes with men and said that it often gives him anxiety a few hours before he has to shoot.

Talking to Filmfare Arjun said, “It is challenging, I am a straight heterosexual man, so naturally I am stepping out of my own element and trying something which is not natural to me, so obviously it is like jumping out of a plane. Humans are supposed to be on land, not flying in the air you jump out of a plane and you are out of your element. But you know what, the thing is, once you have made the decision to take something up half of those things you’ve already put aside when you have made that decision. Now, obviously each time before I had to shoot the scene of getting intimate with a man, certainly 12 hours before the shoot, I would start getting a little bit of anxiety, nervousness, and I would tell myself to keep it together. But once you’re on set, nothing matters. Everyone is there to work so just better get over yourself and do what you’re supposed to do.”

Speaking of his process he shares on a lighter note, “It’s like close your eyes, imagine your kissing your girlfriend and just go for it.” Arjun also said that it often helps to get over the nervousness with his co-actor by just admitting that he’s anxious too.
