Amit Sadh Calls Ayushmann Khurrana An Inspiration

"Ayushmann Khurranna Has Been A Great Inspiration": Amit Sadh On Picking Different Subjects (Operation Parindey, Avrodh, Breathe2) In 2020

It was one exciting year for Amit Sadh as he played two diverse roles across different mediums and won some good recognition both times around. While in Hrithik Roshan led Super 30 (in theaters) he made a lasting impression in a meaningful cameo, in hard hitting drama Barot House (on OTT) he showed different facets of his acting talent.

However, come 2020 and Amit would be pretty much firing all cylinders, what with shooting of many of his assignments already been through. First up, he would be seen in web film Operation Parindey which is directed by Dhoom and Dhoom:2 maker Sanjay Gadhvi. The jailbreak film has Amit playing a SP. It is set in the time when the second surgical strike of India over Pakistan took place.

This isn't all as he has also wrapped up the shooting of Avordh, a web series where he plays Major Mike Tango, the real life character who led the surgical strike in Pakistan. Though Vicky Kaushal's Uri - The Surgical Strike has already gained an all time blockbuster status for itself, Avrodh is pretty much set as a crowning glory for Amit whose inspiration is Ayushmann Khurranna.

"Yes, Ayushmann has indeed been a great inspiration," acknowledges Amit, "Look at the way he is picking different subjects. He is also growing as an actor, and when I see such things happening around me, it only gladdens me further."

One web film which continues to gladden him though is Barot House, which released earlier this year on the OTT platform.

"Guess what, I still keep getting messages for Barot house," smiles Amit, "This is what keeps me going and I feel like continuing to take risks. Of course, they cannot be egoistic risks; one has to be careful and take only take artistic risks."

Thrillers would be the core of his work though in 2020 where he has as many as three major outings lines up. The year will begin with Operation Parindey. Then there is Avrodh which is ready. Post that it would be time for the second season of Breathe, which is currently in the post-production stage.

"We would be releasing Breathe 2 also pretty soon. That makes 2020 already look so exciting," Amit can't conceal his excitement here, "Honestly, I wouldn't have traded this for anything else."

On a parting note, he comments, "I truly believe that today, I am in a better place. People say that films choose you but in my case, I think these characters are choosing me. There are producers and directors who want to work for me. Then there is also a decent enough fan-base which wants to see my work. There are some people who root for me. All in all, a happy situation to be a part of. I don't have any reasons to complain," smiles Amit before signing off.
