Bell Bottom Actress Huma Qureshi Remembers Returning To Set Amid The Pandemic Post Lockdown

When the coronavirus pandemic struck our country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown in order to try and keep the citizens of India safe. This affected the film industry massively, much like other industries. Shootings came to an abrupt halt and release dates were pushed indefinitely when theatres shut down. When the lockdown finally lifted, Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi jetted off to Glasgow, Scotland to shoot their film Bell Bottom.

The spy thriller became the first Hindi film to commence shooting post lockdown. In a recent chat with IANS, Huma remembered the time and shared, “'Bell Bottom' is going to be a very special film for all of us, whether it is me or the whole cast and crew for that matter because it was the film we shot last year when the first unlock phase started.”

Talking about resuming work after so many months, she shared, “It was going back to the film set for all of us. For actors, normalcy means hearing those words, 'roll camera', 'action', 'cut', and after that long and sudden phase of staying at home, 'Bell Bottom' was our first step to normalcy, it's like a comeback for everyone. We are fortunate that we finished the shoot peacefully on time. We cannot wait to share the film with the world.”

Bell Bottom is scheduled to release on 28th May.
