Bell Bottom: Lara Dutta To Play Indira Gandhi In The Akshay Kumar Starrer?

Akshay Kumar has a number of films in his kitty and his fans just can't wait to see him unfold his magic on-screen. They would soon be able to see him in Laxmmi Bomb. he would then return back to shooting Atrangi Re and then Bell Bottom. Recently, an official announcement about the co-star of his film was made. He would work opposite Vaani Kapoor. Lara Dutta will also be a part of this espionage thriller. Now, details about her character in the film have come to the forefront.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Lara Dutta will essay the role of oour former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. A source told the portal, "The film is set in the '80s with Akshay playing a special agent who helps solve one of the biggest conspiracies that shook the country. But there are three leading ladies in the film. Vaani Kapoor plays Akshay's wife and romantic interest in the film, whereas there's a special character that Lara Dutta will be seen essaying. Lara will play the role of Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and has an extremely pivotal part to play in the entire narrative. The film is set in the times when Indira led the country and the makers wanted a good performer to step in for the role and they thought of Lara."
