Bell Bottom: Vaani Kapoor Roped In As The Female Lead In Akshay Kumar's Espionage Thriller

Bell Bottom had been announced back in last year. What left us intrigued was Akshay Kumar and his look in the film, that's touted as an espionage thriller. The shoot of the film was stalled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but it's all set to resume soon now. In fact, the makers have now made an official announcement about the female lead in the film.

Jackky Bhagnani took to his social media to announce that Vaani would be joining in as the female lead opposite Akshay Kumar. This will be the first time we will get to see Akshay and Vaani together on-screen. In a conversation with IANS, he said, "Vaani is an intelligent actor and I have loved all her performances. The female lead in ‘Bellbottom’ has to be in sync with Akshay sir’s screen persona. The role is meaty and I am confident that Vaani will ace this one.”

Vaani too is excited and said, “I am elated to share the screen space with Akshay sir. I am also thrilled to partner with the whole team who have already made me feel at home at this initial stage of our film. Hoping that this excitement will translate beautifully on screen.”

The reports of Vaani being a part of Bell Bottom had been doing the rounds since a vaery long time as well. However, the official announcement had been made today. Apart from Vaani, Huma Qureshi would also be a part of the thriller. Vaani would also be seen in Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt starrer dacoit drama, Shamshera.
