Bhumi Pednekar On Rangoli Chandel's Ageism Comment: 'She’s Not From The Acting World, We Don’t Have To Agree With Her Opinion'

Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar play 60-year olds in their upcoming film Saand Ki Aankh. However, this very fact didn’t go down well with many in the Bollywood fraternity. Many raised objections about how can young girls be cast for roles that are twice their age and sparked off the ageism controversy. Many actors and actresses revealed their opinion on the matter.

Kangana Ranaut’s sister and official spokesperson Rangoli Chandel always has an opinion and she did have one on this issue as well. She stated, Kangana was first offered the role and she refused it saying actors like Shabana Azmi and Neena Gupta should play the role.  Neena Gupta too stated, “Yes, I was just thinking about this hamari umar ke role toe kamsekam hamse karalo bhai.”
