Arshi Khan: Why Has Kangana Not Been Summoned By NCB

After a drug angle was revealed in late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe, the Narcotics Control Bureau summoned Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh and many others for questioning. Well in a recent interview, Bigg Boss 11 contestant Arshi Khan has asked why actress Kangana Ranaut has not been summoned in the drug probe yet. She went on to state that instead of just implicating Bollywood stars, law and media must question anyone who is involved in buying, selling or consumption of drugs because it is so easily accessible today.

Talking to ETimes, Arshi shared, “Kangana Ranaut has openly admitted to being a drug addict and of being injected with drugs by a top Bollywood member. Why isn’t she being summoned or questioned about what drugs she took, how much and who provided them to her? Deepika’s chats are also from 2017. What if she too says she used to be a drug addict and now she’s not? What’s the connection and why is the country treating these two actresses differently? Are we after drugs or actresses? Fact remains that if one criminal exposes ten others, they still remain guilty of a crime.”

When asked how the situation should be handled in her opinion, Arshi said, “I believe that just like sports, where all members go through stringent drug tests before a match, the entertainment industry can also adopt the same practice before a film shoot begins.” She added that the industry has a censor board to censor inappropriate words so we can certainly have a drug committee to ensure that celebs remain ‘clean’.

Do you agree with Arshi’s point of view?
