Brahmastra: Ayan Mukerji To Introduce A New Character In The Sequel, Is Looking Out For A Young A-Lister?

Brahmastra had been announced years back, and the release of the film has been pushed for two years now. Last year, it was confirmed that the film would release by December, but the plans were marred when the pandemic struck. But it now looks like audiences would finally see the fantasy drama this year, and we have some more updates on it.

The Ayan Mukerji film would be a trilogy and a report in Pinkvilla, a new character called Dev would be introduced in the second part. Ranbir plays a character called Shiva who has the superpower to generate fire from his palms, while Alia Bhatt would play his girlfriend Isha. A source was quoted saying, “Brahmastra is the journey of Shiva, while part two will be about another character, Dev, who is also blessed with unique superpowers. The makers are looking to cast an actor from the top bracket for the sequel as well, in fact, they have already started conversations with some A-List superstars. Shiva and Isha too will be a part of part two, since the world of Brahmastra will always be incomplete without the pioneers of the franchise, but the script has got more to do with Dev’s character. All the principal characters then come together for the final showdown in the third instalment. It’s more of a universe, and if Ayan succeeds, there also lies a possibility of making standalone films showcasing the back story of several fascinating characters, who have a relatively smaller role in the already planned trilogy. But it all depends on the audience reception.”

Whoa, we wonder who would be cast for the part! Nagarjuna announced he had wrapped up his portions just today. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and would have a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan.
