Brahmastra: Ranbir Kapoor And Alia Bhatt To Resume Shoot Next Week At Kandivali Based Studio

Filmmaker Karan Johar left the audience super excited back in 2017 when he first announced director Ayan Mukerji’s film Brahmastra, starring Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. After a long wait, the makers finally announced the release date in February last year. It was decided that Brahmastra would hit theatres on 4^th December 2020. However, coronavirus turned out to be a bump in the road and the superhero film was once again pushed indefinitely like many other Bollywood projects. Well latest reports have revealed that the team will finally resume shooting next week.

In a report shared by Mid Day, a source was quoted saying, “Ayan had almost completed filming the superhero drama, in keeping with the December 4 release date. While he utilised the lockdown to speed up the VFX work and editing, a small portion remains to be shot. The production design team has a week to build the set in the Kandivali studio before Ayan begins shooting on February 18. He has chalked out a week-long stint with the leads, post which it will be a wrap for the project.”

Also starring television’s Naagin Mouni Roy, South superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni, Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles and Shah Rukh Khan in a special cameo, Brahmastra is the first film in a planned trilogy.
