Chunky Panday was once Akshay Kumar's dialogue & dance coach: 'He had to undo what I taught him'

Chunky Panday and Akshay Kumar are close friends and co-stars who have worked together on various occasions. However, unlike the friends they made in Bollywood, the two actors go way back. Chunky reveals that he had once been an acting and dance instructor for Akshay.

Chunky while talking to Cyrus Brocha on a YouTube based chat show, Chunky revealed he was graduating from Madhumati's Dancing School when Akshay had just joined the institute. The Housefull actor reveals that as a senior he was entrusted with training the Sooryavanshi actor.

Recalling the time and Akshay’s response to being taught by him, Chunky says, “He really makes me laugh about it. I graduated from a school called Madhumati's Dancing School. So when I was graduating... Akshay was much younger than me, four-five years younger than me. Akshay was just joining the school. You know how it is, when you just join, the teachers don't teach you, the senior students teach you. So I used to teach him some dance moves, and some dialogue delivery.”

Talking about how Akshay now pokes fun about it the actor added, “He still laughs and jokes about it. That's why he says in the initial part of his career he didn't get too much work or awards, because of the acting I taught him. He had to undo what I taught him and become a better actor, and that's why he's become Akshay Kumar.”

Chunky also added that he always knew Akshay would be a star as he was always fit and had the looks while also having a great attitude.
