Deepika Padukone In Talks For Karan Johar’s Woman-Centric Film Directed By Shakun Batra?

After the roaring success of Padmaavat in 2018, we had been waiting to see Deepika Padukone in a Bollywood film. 2019 had been the year of waiting, but now, she is all set to grace the big screens once again in 2020. While we are patiently waiting to see her strike back, we have some good news for all DP fans. She might soon sign a new film. It would be produced by none other than Karan Johar and would most probably be directed by Shakun Batra who has earlier helmed films like Ek Main Aur Ek Tu and Kapoor And Sons.

According to a report by Filmfare, Deepika had visited Karan Johar’s office a few days back, where she had been narrated a woman-centric story. She apparently instantly loved it. The film will also have another female lead, which is yet to be finalised.

The film already sounds very exciting, isn’t it? Who can be the other lead? Deepika will be seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapak ooposite Vikrant Massey where she will play an acid-attack survivor. She will be a part of Kabir Khan’s 83’ where she will play the on-screen wife of her real life husband, Ranveer Singh! Reports have also claimed that she might be a part of another Hollywood film as well!
