Dhrishyam Director Nishikant Kamat Passes Away, Celebs Pour In Their Condolences

Director Nishikant Kamat passes away today in Hyderabad at the age of 50 years. He had been suffering from liver cirrhosis for a long time and was hospitalised last week in a critical condition. He was also put on a ventilator but lost the battle today. He had been behind some of the popular films like Mumbai Meri Jaan, Madaari, Force and Dhrishyam. He had also acted in films like Rocky Handsome, Julie 2 and Bhavesh Joshi.

Nishikant Kamat's mortal remains would be brought to Mumbai soon. Marathi actor Jaywant Wadkar had told Indian Express, “I was in touch with producer Ajay Rai, who is a close associate of Nishikant Kamat. Nishikant passed away around 10:30 am today in Hyderabad. The process of bringing his body to Mumbai is currently on.” However, many celebs had later tweeted and revealed that the director was on ventilator support. In fact, the entire nation had been praying for his speedy recovery. But he could not win the battle of life.

Many celebs have poured in their condolences for the departed soul.

Milap Milan Zaveri had revealed that the director was to work on a film with John Abraham that was written by him. We would miss him and his steller work. May his soul rest in peace.
