Did Samantha's role in The Family Man 2 irk Naga Chaitanya and the Akkineni family?

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya's wedding being on the rocks has been the subject of many headlines in the past few weeks. While speculations about the reason behind the alleged rift between the couple are many a new news report has now claimed that the actor and the Akkineni family are not happy with Samantha’s choice to carry on with her glamorous career in films.

According to an ETimes report while Samantha loves working in films the Akkineni family wants the actress to follow in the footsteps of Naga Chaitanya's mother and Nagarjuna’s wife Amala Akkineni. The family reportedly had an issue with Samantha’s daring role in the Raj & DK web series The Family Man 2 and are opposed to her many glamorous photoshoots as well.

The report further claims that Samantha is not willing to give up her career as an actress and this is what has become a roadblock in her marriage with Naga Chaitanya. The Akkineni family and Samantha has so far not commented on the speculations of divorce doing the rounds it has been claimed in the report that the possibility of this star couple filing for divorce in the next few months is strong. It has been suggested that Samantha might get an alimony of Rs. 50 crores from Naga Chaitanya if the divorce goes through.

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot in 2017 and will complete four years of marriage in October. The couple is said to be living apart for the time being with some reports even claiming that the actress is looking for a place to stay in Mumbai.
