Dinesh Vijan's Next Starring Rajkummar Rao-Kriti Sanon Shelved; Here's The Reason...

There had been news doing the rounds that Dinesh Vijan would bring two o his favourite stars- Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon- for a film together. Obviously, it was a treat that fans had been expecting and it would be interesting to watch the two stars with their on-screen chemistry. But unfortunately, we might have to wait longer for the film to happen, since as of now, it seems to have been shelved.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Dinesh has decided to put the project on hold. A source said, “It’s a multi-starrer set against the quirky backdrop of a couple adopting parents played by Paresh Rawal and Dimple Kapadia, to be shot at real locations and was all set to go on floors in Summer 2020. Things have changed a lot since then, and Dinesh VIjan, who has three films ready for a release, has decided to keep the film on the back-burner for the time being until he decides on the future of his three films – Mimi, Roohi Afazana and Shiddhat – thereby setting his cash flow rolling.”

The source further added that the producer was trying to strike a deal with OTT platforms for the film. However, he is hopeful now that theatres are reopening. Well, we hope that his films do well on the box-office and we actually get to see this quirky comedy!
