Disha Vakani To Resume Shooting For Tarak Mehtra Ka Oolta Chashma From This Date

Disha Vakani has been missing from Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma for over a year and it’s no surprise that the makers of the show are now running out of patience waiting for the actress to return. Rumour mills have been rife with names of many actresses in the running who could replace Disha on TMKOC as Daya. But for all fans of the actress, there is still a ray of hope as a source close to the production revealed to a web portal that the actress has finally reached out to the production house to fix her date of return.

The news of her return though was never confirmed by any member of the cast or the makers. Earlier in a statement the producer of the show, Asit Kumar Modi, had addressed the issue of Disha Vakani’s return saying, “We have been very cooperative from the beginning. Since her daughter’s birth, we have been waiting patiently, giving her space as a new mother. But eventually, a show has to go on.”

But the course of communication changed when Disha shared a picture with her Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma co-star Neha Mehta on Instagram and captioned it with their characters names from the show writing, ‘Daya and Anjali’. If that wasn’t enough of a hint, the source from the production also revealed the date of her return on the sets of the show which is 18 May.

While this is still all hearsay and confirmation from Disha or the production is still awaited, we hope that all this is true!
