Ek Duaa: Abhishek Bachchan, Tusshar Kapoor, Abhay Deol wish Esha Deol Takhtani for her maiden production

Esha Deol Takhtani is back with a bang. The actor will return to acting with Ajay Devgn starrer Rudra: The Edge of Darkness and another film titled Ek Duaa. While she is acting in both the projects, she is also getting into film production with Ek Duaa.

While the poster and trailer were unveiled this week, Esha’s friends from the industry took to social media to wish the actor for her maiden production. While actors Abhishek Bachchan and Tushar Kapoor took to Twitter, Abhay Deol who is also Esha’s cousin brother posted his wish on Instagram.

Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “All the best Esha and Ram. Much love. #EkDuaa”

Tusshar Kapoor tweeted, “All the best @Esha_Deol …..great to have you back in so many different ways! Many congratulations”

Abhay Deol wrote, “It’s a subject that is close to her heart, so she made a film about it! Proud of my lil’ sis @imeshadeol for making this wonderful film. Hope you guys like the trailer and look out for it on @vootselect, premiering on the 26th of July.”

Ek Duaa, directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee packs a subtle yet strong punch about gender discrimination. Talking about it, Esha had earlier said, "I wanted to do a film that not just entertains but also informs and inspires change. When I heard the concept of 'Ek Duaa', it truly touched me, and more so as a mother of two girls. So, I decided to extend my association with it as a producer rather than just being an actor."

"It is heartening to see how the number of women behind the scenes has increased not just in count but in visibility too in the industry, and I am happy to join the bandwagon," added the actor, who is looking forward to taking on more projects.

Ek Duaa, co-produced by Venky’s and Assorted Motion Pictures, premieres on Voot Select on 26th July.
