In a chat with Mid Day, Mohit revealed, “When we were making Half Girlfriend, Arjun would keep saying that a Bollywood hero should have an action film in his filmography. So, he is kicked about Ek Villain 2. He wants to play the quintessential bad boy; he did that in Ishaqzaade [2012] and it worked wonders for him. After his good-boy act in Half Girlfriend, it will be fun to explore this side to him.”

The filmmaker also shared that he hopes to take Ek Villain 2 on floors by January 2021 because even though the story is set in India, they cannot shoot here due to the coronavirus crisis. Hence they are planning to shoot abroad as the situation there is relatively under control. Right now the makers are finalizing the shoot locations. Well, we are super excited to see if the film will win hearts like Ek Villain or do even better than Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh and Shraddha Kapoor’s film did.
