Emraan Hashmi calls Chehre co-star Amitabh Bachchan ‘pinnacle of acting’; reveals he’s not a part of Tiger 3

After winning hearts with his performance in Mumbai Saga, Emraan Hashmi is all set to return to the screens with his next much awaited project Chehre. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead with Krystle D'Souza, Rhea Chakraborty and Annu Kapoor in supporting roles, the mystery thriller has been helmed by filmmaker Rumi Jafry and will arrive in theatres on 27th August. While Hashmi will be seen as a business tycoon in the film, Big B will be portraying the role of a lawyer.

In a recent chat with Pinkvilla, Emraan opened up about the film. He was quoted saying, “It has got this interesting banter between the characters of this film. It’s a mock courtroom drama and the challenge was to get the chemistry with Mr. Bachchan’s character. We all hit it out of the park from the word go.” Talking about his co-star, Hashmi shared, “I keep saying that there is a certain level of acting, which is great and then there is god level, which is Mr. Bachchan. He is the pinnacle of acting and craft in our country.”

During the interview, Emraan was also asked about his next film Tiger 3, co-starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. It was recently reported that he has begun shooting, but the actor has now revealed that he isn’t a part of the project. He stated, “Who told you what I have already shot for it? People are saying this, but I have not shot for the film. In-fact, I am not a part of the film. I don’t know why people are saying this. I have never given a quote or never said that I am doing the film.” When asked about his new bulky avatar, Emraan clarified that he is just working out to be fit, not preparing for a character.

Well, this is quite a shock. However, let’s wait and watch what happens because the actor could just be teasing fans! There is still hope.
