    In the month of September 2019, we exclusively informed our viewers that Sab TV was coming up with a new cop-comedy called Mahila police Thana. We had also given out intricate details of the character of the show.

    Finally, yesterday, there was a grand launch event of the Sab TV’s much-awaited cop-comedy series ‘Madam Sir’. The show stars Gulki Joshi, Yukti Kapoor, Bhavika Sharma and Sonali Pandit Naik. The show has been produced under the banner of Jay Mehta Production Company. Point to be noted here is this is the same show that was earlier named ‘Mahila Police Thana.’

    Speaking on the name change of the show, actress Gulki Joshi who plays the role of Inspector Haseena an S.H.O. said it surely was a conscious decision on the part of the makers to change the name of the show from what it was to what it is. Quipped she, “I think it must have been a conscious decision, for me personally, I loved the title Madam Sir, because, in small cities, the female police officers are called ‘Madam Sir’.”

    She furthered, “The male police officers are called Sir and the female police officers are called Madam Sir; therefore, it becomes universal in a way. It in a way identifies with the entire country. Because we have heard it everywhere.  The title itself gives the serial a very national appeal. She concluded.
