Fatima Sana Shaikh On Her Role In Ajeeb Daastaans: ‘I Don’t Relate To Lipakshi; But I Understand Her Need For Love’

The gorgeous Fatima Sana Shaikh has been winning hearts with her performances. With her last few releases, she has not only proven that she is a terrific actress but has also blown us away with her versatility. Well, in her latest film Ajeeb Daastaans, Fatima portrayed the role of Lipakshi. Pressured into a loveless marriage with Babloo aka Jaideep Ahlawat by her parents, she is on the lookout for love. Even though the actress shares nothing in common with her character, she has wonderfully portrayed Lipakshi on-screen.

In a recent chat with Mid Day, Fatima shared, “I don’t relate to Lipakshi. My parents have never pressured me to be with somebody or lead a certain life, so that’s not my world. But I understand her need for love. Everybody looks for attention in different ways, and does stupid things for their loved ones. I have also been a hopeless lover [at one point], so I understand her core emotions.”

While she is bold in her choices and decision in real life, Fatima found it difficult to be as bold as Lipakshi. She explained, “I have never been comfortable with using my sexuality openly as I have been a tomboy all my life.” Well, that’s how great an actress she is! Not even for a second did fans feel that Fatima wasn’t convincing as Lipakshi. We can’t wait to see what else she has in store for the audience!
