Fatima Sana Shaikh Would Love To Do Films Like Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi Or Kangana Starrer Queen

The gorgeous and very talented Fatima Sana Shaikh began her journey in Bollywood as a child artist with films like One 2 Ka 4 and Chachi 420. However, she got her big break much later in 2016 when she bagged the lead role in Nitesh Tiwari’s award winning biographical sports drama Dangal, alongside Aamir Khan and Sanya Malhotra. In the past few years, Fatima has not only garnered a huge fan following but has also proved her versatility by playing vastly different characters on-screen such as Pinky in Ludo and Lipakshi in Ajeeb Daastaans.

In a recent interview with Spotboye, when the actress was asked if experimenting with different genres and characters was a conscious decision, she replied, “No, it's not! I do films that come my way and if I feel a connection with the film. My choices also reflect on the person that I am. Having said that, it's not like I have too many opportunities coming my way. I'm making most of it with what is available around me.” The actress added that she wishes she did more work in the last 5 years, because the more you work the better you get.

Fatima further shared, “I would have loved to do a Gangubai Kathiawadi or a Queen, but again scripts like that should come to me, while there are not, I am doing what's best for me.” Well, we are sure fans would love to see Fatima portray such characters in her upcoming projects and sincerely hope that filmmakers are listening!
