Gangubai Kathiawadi: Action Sequences For Alia Bhatt Starrer Pushed To A Later Schedule?

The shoot for Gangubai Kathiawadi is currently on in Mumbai. The cast and crew are working in full-swing to be able to wrap up the film soon. However, it seems like the audiences would have to wait longer to see the film, and the reason is the action sequences and portions involving the crowds.

Luckily for director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the producers of the film, the massive set that was built in Film City has survived the rain and the storm, and the cast is currently shooting there. However, it would still take some more time to film portions involving the crowd, and the action sequences. The reason is simple- the fear of COVID-19 isn't gone and the risk of infection is still very much there. According to a source in Bollywood Hungama, “SLB plans to continue shooting throughout November. But all the sequences involving large crowds have been pushed to later. Right now the director is shooting scenes with Alia Bhatt and her co-star Shantanu Maheshwari.”

Rumours of Shantanu Maheshwari being a part of the film had been doing the rounds for a long time, but he refrained from commenting on the matter! Alia Bhatt also has few other films set for release, and would be busy shooting for then all in the coming months.
