Good Newwz Box Office: Akshay Kumar's Film Enters The Rs. 100 Crore Club On New Years', Registers Second Highest Grossing Day

Akshay Kumar has ended 2019 on a high note and begun the new year 2020 with some more ‘Good Newwz’ on the horizon. The actor’s fourth and last film of the year with Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani has now become a certified member of the Rs. 100 crore club on 1 January.

Good Newwz registered its second highest-grossing day on New Years’ as the film earned Rs. 22.5 crores on Day 6. The film’s highest-grossing day remains Sunday where it earned Rs. 25.65 crores. As of 1 January, the collections of the movie stand at a grand total of Rs. 117.10 crores.

Akshay Kumar four films that released in 2019 including, Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Good Newwz. All these films swept past the Rs. 100 crore club making Akshay the most successful actor of the year. Of these, Housefull 4 and Mission Mangal joined the Rs. 200 crores club and from the looks of it the actor will continue his winning streak in 2020 with multiple releases.

The actor recently also received a National Film Award in the capital for his 2018 film Padman which won for begin the best film on social issues.

Good Newwz continues its phenomenal run at the theatres and we are yet to see where it will stop.
