Heera Mandi: Makers Considering Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone and Parineeti Chopra As The Lead?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heera Mandi had always been one of the most ambitious projects. He had given up on it, but now it is all set to be revived. Reports had been doing the rounds that the makers are zeroing down on casting the lead actress. And now, we have some update about the same.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the lead might be someone among Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone and Parineeti Chopra. Manisha Koirala and Vidya Balan are also in consideration A source said, “Sanjay is personally doing the casting. Though officially his former assistant Vibhu Puri is going to direct Heera Mandi, SLB’s stamp will be evident in every frame.”

The new revamped film would reportedly be made for an OTT platform, probably Netflix. A report had earlier told PeepingMoon, "Bhansali and his production company's CEO Prerna Singh have been in talks with Netflix for quite some time now and they recently agreed to work together on Heera Mandi which has been a passion project for the filmmaker. The film has been envisioned as a big-scale custom drama and will have all the elements of a Sanjay Leela Bhansali epic even though he's not directing it himself."
