After winning hearts with their amazing chemistry in Bareilly Ki Barfi, the gorgeous Kriti Sanon and the handsome Rajkummar Rao are all set to shine together again on the big screen in Dinesh Vijan’s Hum Do Humare Do. Directed by debutante director Abhishek Jain, the film will follow the story of a couple who decide to adopt parents. While Paresh Rawal and Dimple Kapadia were initially chosen to play these characters, the latter had to exit the project. The character will now be portrayed by the very talented Ratna Pathak Shah.

In a report shared by Pinkvilla, a source was quoted saying, “The film was expected to go on floors around April-May this year but Covid played spoilsport and the schedules were cancelled. Now, the team has finally begun shooting and filming in Chandigarh, with the lead cast present. The movie is about a married couple whose lives completely topple after they adopt parents. Previously, Dimple Kapadia and Paresh Rawal were supposed to play the adopted maa-baap in the film but now, we hear that Dimple has politely exited the film. In her place, Ratna Pathak Shah has been brought on board for the same role.”

The source went on to reveal that when Vijan decided to roll the film, Dimple expressed her concerns and wasn't too keen to shoot before a vaccine arrived. After they parted ways, Ratna was the first name on the makers’ mind. She loved the idea, signed on the dotted line and is now in Chandigarh with the rest of the cast, shooting for Hum Do Humare Do. All’s well that ends well!
