'I Could Not See Him In That Way', Ankita Lokhande On Giving Sushant Singh Rajput's Funeral A Miss

Actress Ankita Lokhande who maintained dignified silence after actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has finally spoken up and said that she believes the late actor could never have taken the extreme step of ending his life. The actress dated Sushant for over six years since their Pavitraa Rishta days on TV and they lived together for most of those years.

Ankita claims the actor was a ‘happy go lucky’ guy who she believes couldn’t have been depressed. She was shattered upon hearing about Suhsant’s death and has only spoken up after the late actor’s family filed an F.I.R against Rhea Chakraborty who was living with Sushant up until a few days before his death.

While Ankita was seen visiting Sushant’s family at his house and even attended a prayer meet at Ekta Kapoor’s house she as well as Rhea Chakraborty did not attend his funeral where celebrities like Kriti Sanon, Shraddha Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Ranvir Shorey, Rajkummar Rao and a few others were spotted.  Speaking up about it now the Manikarnika actress told Republic TV, “I didn't go to his funeral because I could not see him in that way.”

The actress feels sad about reading all the theories about his death and told the channel, “Sushant might be upset, anxious, yes, but depression is a big word. Calling someone 'bipolar' is a big thing. He came from a small town. He established himself on his own. Everyone is writing their own portrayal of how 'depressed' he was, it hurts reading all of this.”

The Bihar police visited Ankita at her apartment and has recorded her statement in the case which is now being probed by them as a case of abetment of suicide and fraud. Meanwhile, actress Rhea Chakraborty has moved to the Supreme Court with a petition requesting the Bihar Oolice case be transferred to the Mumbai Police.
