Ileana D'Cruz Pens An Inspiring Post On Body Positivity, Thought She Wasn't 'Perfect Enough' Realised She's 'Beautifully Flawed'

Ileana D’ Cruz took to her Instagram handle to share an inspirational about accepting her body. The post talks about her experience and struggles of having a ‘perfect body’ and accepting that she is ‘Beautifully Flawed’, inspiring others to do the same, and be proud of who they are. From her waist not being slim enough to her stomach not being flat enough, the actress had a tough time accepting herself the way she is.

Ileana said in her post that earlier, she was constantly worried about being imperfect, she wrote, "I’ve always worried about how I looked. I’ve worried my hips are too wide, my thighs too wobbly, my waist not narrow enough, my tummy not flat enough, my b**bs not big enough, my butt too big, my arms too jiggly, nose not straight enough, lips not full enough....."

The actress also penned her thoughts on being ‘beautifully flawed’ and wrote "I’ve worried that I’m not tall enough, not pretty enough, not funny enough, not smart enough, not “perfect” enough." Answering her own question, Ileana mentioned, "Not realizing I was never meant to be perfect. I was meant to be beautifully flawed."

Ileana further inspired everyone to ‘stand out’ and not to fit according to the societal norms. Different. Quirky. Unique. Every scar, every bump, every 'flaw' just made me, me. My own kind of beautiful. That's why I've stopped. Stopped trying to conform to the world's ideals of what's meant to be beautiful. I've stopped trying so hard to fit in. Why should I? When I was born to stand out," she added.

Last year in an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress talked being body-shamed and said that she's fine now and comments made on her body don’t affect her. "I have been harassed by my body type so much that I think I have heard it all. I just didn't like it because I was looking at myself from that person's perspective. People would be like, 'This isn't normal', why do you have a body like that?' I have reached that point where I'm happy. It's entertaining and funny," she said.

On the professional front, Ileana was last seen in the 2019 comedy film Pagalpanti, co-starring  Anil Kapoor, John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Urvashi Rautela, Pulkit Samrat, and Kriti Kharbanda. The actress is gearing up for her next film, The Big Bull, in which she will share screen space with Abhishek Bachchan.
