    Indian 2 Crane Accident: Production Company Claims Shoot Was Under Kamal Hassan's Supervision In Response To His Open Letter

    The unfortunate accident on the sets of Kamal Hassan’s Indian 2 that took lives of three technicians on set and 10 others injured raised several red flags with regards to the safety of the personnel working on the movie sets. Kamal Hassan who claimed that he escaped the accident by a whisker had in an open letter questioned the safety measures put in place by the production company Lyca Productions. The actor turned politician had also announced an immediate compensation of Rs. 1 crores to the aggrieved families.  


    Now, the production house has responded to his open letter regarding the accident that took place on 19th February, 2020 and stated that they were still recovering from the tragic event. The letter addressed to the actor also claimed that a representative arrived at the mortuary just 15 minutes after the actor to pay their respects to the deceased and also announced a compensation of Rs. 2 crores to the families.

    The letter from Lyca Productions also claimed that the entire shoot was under director Shankar and his own supervision and said that a large sum had been invested in the making of Indian 2 so he ought to be assured that the safety wasn’t compromised. The company also claimed that each member on set was given a health insurance and accident insurance under a nationalized insurance policy.
