We exclusively got in touch with &TV Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai’s Rohitash Gaud who also happened to be the actor’s batchmate and also one of the first acquaintances of the actor in Mumbai. He revealed he is dejected, moved and broken by the news of Irrfan Khan’s death especially because he has some extremely fond memories with the late actor.

Well, Rohitash was Irrfan Khan’s junior in NSD. “I joined National School of Drama, Delhi in 1986. Irrfan Khan was a third-year student by then. When I saw him perform during one of the plays, I had an intuition that he will become a great actor one day. He made acting so effortless and realistic. I decided to make him my guru and asked him to give me tips. Like a supporting senior, he would always help us. I remember Irrfan bhai told us that as actors, we need to create an illusion with the character we are playing."

The bereaved TV actor further told us, "It is an extremely sad day for the entire film industry to lose a gem of a person who showcased India in World Cinema. A man of few words, witty, smart and always cheerful Irrfan will forever rule our hearts. National School of Drama has definitely lost an exceptional hero. It saddens me more as I have worked with him in theatre, films and television and shared a great understanding of cinema. I will always remember him as he was my first family when I came to Mumbai. Irrfan will be dearly missed."
