Is Jim Sarbh Not Happy With Vicky Kaushal Playing Sam Manekshaw? Here's The Reason

Vicky Kaushal might have left all of us stunned with his look as Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw in Meghna Gulzar's Sam, but looks like someone is not very happy! When Vicky Kaushal had shared the news and his picture as Sam Bahadur, congratulatory messages were pouring in. However, one actor was a little displeased. We are talking about Raabta actor Jim Sarbh.

Is Jim Sarbh Not Happy With Vicky Kaushal Playing Sam Manekshaw? Here's The Reason

Jim, who has given us some of his best performances in films like Neerja and A Death In The Gunj had taken to Twitter to express his feelings. The actor commented on Vicky Kaushal post and wrote:

Evidently, he is displeased about the fact that despite a number of Parsi actors in the industry, a non Parsi was chosen to play the legendary man. In fact, Jim Sarbh could have indeed looked just as good as Sam Manekshaw.

The same argument had been used against Priyanka Chopra when she was cast as Mery Kom. Many people opined that she looked nothing like the boxer and that why would someone from the North East not be given a chance?

The counter argument lies in the popularity of one star over the other. That would be the same reason Hrithik Roshan has been cast as Anand Kumar in Super 30 instead of Pankaj Tripathi, despite the later resembling the teacher. Tripathi is also a part of the film.

Well, Vicky Kaushal does look like Sam Bahadur in the first look and we hope that with a director like Meghna Gulzar helming the film, the life of this war veteran would be well portrayed on screen.
