Janhvi Kapoor Lauds Gangubai Kathiawadi Star Alia Bhatt For Raising The Bar With Her Level Of Acting

One of the most adored star kids of Tinsel Town, Janhvi Kapoor is currently busy gearing up for the release of her upcoming horror comedy Roohi. Co-starring her favorite Rajkummar Rao and the very talented Varun Sharma, the film follows the story of a girl who is possessed by the ghost of a woman that abducts brides on their honeymoon. While Janhvi is only 3 films old, two of which premiered on digital platforms, her popularity is touching skies. Fans have great expectations from her and can’t wait to see what she has in store.

In a recent interview with IANS, Janhvi shared that she believes in healthy competition and finds her contemporaries inspiring and motivational. She also opened up about Alia Bhatt, who is currently one of the most sought-after actresses of Bollywood. Janhvi stated, “I still feel these are my first baby steps into what I want to do. So, I have not even come close. I see actors like Alia Bhatt and I saw her Gangubai Kathiawadi teaser. I realised if I thought I knew a little bit of acting then after watching this trailer I felt that with the level of acting she has brought to this country and industry, she has raised the bar.”

Other than Roohi, Janhvi has two other exciting projects in her kitty. She will next be sharing the screen with Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan and newbie Lakshya in Karan Johar’s Dostana 2. Janhvi also has Good Luck Jerry, the Hindi adaptation of the 2018 Tamil film Kolamavu Kokila, in the pipeline.
