Jayeshbhai Jordaar And Toofan Swap Release Dates, Ranveer’s Film To Compete With Satyameva Jayate 2

Since the beginning of the new year, and the new decade, we have been seeing a lot of goodwill between stars. Firstly, Rohit Shetty moved Sooryavanshi ahead for March end release to avoid clash with Salman’s Radhe. The makers of Gunjan Saxena gave their release date to Angrezi Medium and pushed it ahead. Akshay accommodated Aamir Laal Singh Chaddha on Christmas and gave it a solo release by pushing Bachchan Pandey. And now, something similar has happened once again- this time between YRF and Excel Entertainment.

Excel’s Toofan where Farhan Akhtar will play a boxer, was scheduled to release on 2^nd October. But now, after talks with Aditya Chopra, the film has been pushed ahead and will release on 18^th September 2020. It has taken the release date of Ranveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which will release on Gandhi Jayanti now. The statement issued read, “In the interest of both films and to ensure an ideal theatrical release, Aditya Chopra 6 Ritesh Sidhwani have decided to release their films on different dates. YRF will release Jayeshbhai Jordaar on 2nd October and Excel Entertainment will release Toofaan on 18th September 2020.” 

Well, this also means that there is a new clash now. Ranveer Singh’s film, that will also mark the debut of Arjun Reddy actress Shalini Pandey, will clash with John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate 2. Interestingly, the Milap Zaveri’s film will mark the comeback of Divya Khoshla Kumar in Bollywood as an actress.
