Just a few days back, we had reported that Sanjay Gupta's Mumbai Saga would be one of the first films to go on floors again after the lockdown was lifted. In fact, the director had said how they had made bookings in Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City to ensure more safety of the cast and crew. But now, the director has decided to call it off.

According to a report in Mid Day, the John Abraham Emraan Hashmi starrer would now be shot in Mumbai instead of Hyderabad. Sanjay Gupta said, "The World Health Organisation's [WHO] statement about the possibility of the virus being airborne was alarming. It stated that the virus can remain in the air in crowded closed spaces. Of the 14-day shoot that I had planned, we were to film at three indoor sets for 10 days. That would have posed a risk. We wanted to shoot in Hyderabad, but now it's as unsafe as Mumbai. So, we might as well do it in our city."

He also stated that the cast was excited to start shooting in Hyderabad. But he added, "We decided it would be best to take stock of the situation after a month. We will try to procure permission to shoot from August 15, and are eyeing three studios — Mehboob, Essel and Film City. The dates are tentative."

Well, we hope that the shoot is resumed soon so that the post-production can start off as well.
