A nationwide lockdown was declared in March to help stop the spread of coronavirus, due to which shoots of upcoming films was put on hold. Well, after a few extensions, the first unlock was recently announced which provided many relaxations. Much to our delight, shoots of films are also expected to resume soon and one of the first projects to go back on floors will be John Abraham’s much awaited vigilante action film Satyameva Jayate 2.

Talking to Mumbai Mirror about the same, co-producer Bhushan Kumar shared that director Milap Zaveri met John yesterday and the two worked together on scenes and dialogues from the upcoming film. He further stated that they are expecting the cast and crew to be ready to shoot by August and his co-producers Nikkhil Advani, Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani are working with the team to ensure that everyone strictly follows all the safety measures which have been laid down by authorities. Bhushan added that they will fix a date for the schedule soon.

Director Milap Zaveri also revealed that he reworked the action scenes and punch-lines during the lockdown. He has narrated them to John and even showed the actor some work in progress posters. The two also listened to a patriotic song that Bhushan gave them for Satyameva Jayate 2. He shared, “We were together from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.” Talking about the exciting aspects of the film, Milap stated, “There is a vigilante element here too and the shirtless fights will be one of the film's USPs. John has been working out through the lockdown and seeing his biceps, I'm looking forward to shooting them.”

Featuring John, Divya Khosla Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee and Nora Fatehi, Satyameva Jayate 2 was initially scheduled to hit theatres on Gandhi Jayanti, that is, 2nd October.
