Director Kabir Khan had undertaken the ambitious project of bringing alive the magic of the 1983 Cricket World Cup on-screen. He had been busy filming the movie in London for months now and it was Ranveer Singh, who will play Kapil Dev in the fillm, who was keeping us in loop with what's going on in there. A few days back, the actor informed us through his social media that the film's London schedule has been wrapped up.

Well, director Kabir Khan is ecstatic about finishing the shoot in London. Talking to a leading newspaper about the same, he has said that he feels like "we had won the world cup too."

Talking about the London schedule, the director said,

“I knew ‘83 was an ambitious film and we have achieved more than what we had planned."

Kabir Khan also talked about the difficulty is securing permissions for shoot. He said, “securing permissions to film at some places, like inside Lords Cricket ground was not easy. This is the first unit that has ventured into the player’s lock room and the long room there. We had to make half of London look like it did in ’83. Shooting at Lord’s on the last day was magical.”

In fact, he had revealed that even the rain gods were with the team, since during shoot, even the rains stopped and helped them finish the shoot right on time.

We are pretty sure that '83 would be one film that would create magic on-screen. Are you excited to watch the film? Let us know in the comments.
