    Kangana Ranaut stays away from social media but as the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protests rage on the actress in an interaction with the media freely expressed her opinion. “We are at the threshold of a great possibility now’s the time where decisive decisions are being taken. And we will finally know what is India what is not India who is an Indian who is not an Indian because that clarity no one has yet, you know the governments before have made sure that we do not know our borders and we do not know our population.”

    Apart from her views on the Citizenship Amendment Act, Kangana was asked about what she thought of her Bollywood contemporaries who refrain from expressing their views on the matter and she was quick to back the trending hashtag #ShameOnBollywood and argued that as personalities they are in a position of power which they use only make Instagram posts and “do drug parties” and are hiding behind their comfort zones.

    Talking to ETimes, Kangana said "I have no illusions about the fact that Bollywood is full of cowards who are full of themselves. All they do is just look into the mirror 20 times a day and when they're asked they say we have electricity and we have access to everything, we are privileged, why should we be bothered about the country." 

    Calling the stars who are reserved on the matter of CAA, Kangana used words like, "sissies", "cowards" and "spineless" to define them and sadi that they are the most scared people she has ever seen. She also was of the opion that people should not look up to them as icons.

    So far, several Bollywood stars have spoken up on the protests going on in the country including Anurag Kashyap, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Mahesh Bhatt, Ayushmann Khurrana, Richa Chaddha, Rajkumar Rao, Huma Qureshi, Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, Sushant Singh, Hrithik Roshan, Dia Mirza, Farhan Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Sudhir Mishra among others.
