Kangana Ranaut Dhaakad Will No More Release This Diwali, Says Writer Sohail Makhlai

Sohail Makhlai’s next project after Knock out is Dhaakad. But due to the coronavirus scare, things started to steadily go downhill. Bollywood Hungama reports, Dhaakad was scheduled to go on floors this April as per the writer which was then being planned for July but that plan isn't materializing as well.  

Now that the film has not yet gone on floors and will it still be released on Diwali this year? Well, Makhlai has been further quoted as saying, “Yes, we had announced a Diwali release. We had all the schedules worked out. But the virus has hit the entire entertainment industry. Nobody has a map for the road ahead.” One thing that Makhlai is sure about is that Dhaadak will be made, and made without any compromise. He also added that Kangana shares a wonderful rapport with the film's director Razneesh Ghai who she has worked with on several ads and the script has been written to 'take her to the next level'.

As of now, the writer is also not sure when will the crisis end and when will the shoot for the film will begin. He has been further quoted in the same report as saying, "When we put out the poster little did we know what was in store? In Mumbai, cinema seems like a very low priority right now. First, we need to survive this crisis. Then we’ll see. Once shooting is resumed we’ll plunge into Dhaakad.”
