    Kangana Ranaut Expected To Leave Mumbai By September 14, Exempted By BMC From Mandatory Quarantine

    Actress Kangana Ranaut who landed in Mumbai on Wednesday, 9 September amidst tight Y-plus category security courtesy the central Home Ministry is in town only for a few days and thus has been relieved by the BMC from the mandatory 14-day quarantine.

    The Manikarnika star whose office was ravaged by the BMC officials during demolition on Wednesday morning is said to be leaving town by September 14 and heading back to her hometown Manali.  A BMC official tells PTI “Since she is staying here for less than a week, she was exempted under the `short-term visitor category.” 

    Kangana’s office in Bandra was bulldozed while she was on her way to Mumbai and the actress had to approach the Bombay High Court to get a stay order on BMC’s raid. The municipal authority claimed that the actress had illegal construction done on her property and served her with a 24-hour notice on Tuesday post which they invade the property and proceeded with demolishing it.

    In the hearing, the court not only put a stay on BMC’s demolition but also reprimanded them for their actions while also seeking an explanation by 3 PM on September 10.

    The matter is said to have accelerated after Kangana got into a war of words with senior Shiv Sena member Sanjay Raut on Twitter who warned her against returning to Mumbai after her comments against the Maharastra government and Mumbai Police in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
