    Karan Johar Pens A Note Remembering Yash Chopra On His Birth Anniversary: His Movies Made Me Love The Movies

    On the occasion of filmmaker Yash Chopra’s 88th birth anniversary his son Aditya Chopra has officially kicked off Yash Raj Films’ 50th-year anniversary celebrations. The legendary filmmaker and his films are not doubt missed dearly by his fans and on his birthday today Karan Johar penned a heartfelt note remembering the director and paying a tribute to his legacy.

    In a tweet, Karan shared Aditya Chopra’s note on YRF’s silver jubilee and alongside he wrote, “His movies made me love the movies...his hand on my head gave me the strength to stand tall behind the camera..Yash Chopra was not just a filmmaker but a bonafide institution...a legacy so beautifully and Brilliantly taken forward by my mentor and teacher Aditya Chopra...”

    Karan Johar was a small part of Aditya Chopra debut film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge where he played Shah Rukh Khan’s friend in the film. Karan later went on to direct his own blockbuster Kuch Kuch Hota Hai with Shah Rukh and took over his father as the Chairman of Dharma Productions. Even though they are competitors in their space, Karan and Aditya have always been close friends.

    Celebrating 50 years of YRF Aditya Chopra is also soon expected to announce some big projects inducing Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback film Pathan, Ajay Devgn’s superhero flick and Salman Khan’s third film from the Tiger franchise among many others.
