Karan Johar Reacts To The ‘Drug Party’ Accusations, Says “Apparently You Are Not Supposed To Scratch Your Nose”!

Karan Johar had been partying out with his friends from the industry one Saturday night. The director and his guests were having a good time and therefore, he decided to make a video and pout in up on his Insta story for the world, and fans to see. But what he did not see coming was accusations from an MLA that it was a party where drugs were being consumed.  Even though another MLA had confirmed that nothing of that sort happened, he was adamant to stick to his judgement and even requested the Mumbai Police to file an FIR against all present at the party!

Well, Karan had refrained from making any comments about the incident for so long. But finally, he has opened up about the same. In an interview with Rajeev Masand, he has bared open his heart and we can also see him get angry and riled up.

Talking about the incident, he asks whether rubbing one’s nose, or having a good time is something one shouldn’t do. In fact, he also says that it is quite clear that there was a shadow of some light and no powders involved. He said,

"There were achieving members of the industry who were having an easy night out after a hard week of work, having a good time. I took that video with all the earnestness... would I be putting out that video if there was anything happening at all, I am not stupid."

He clarified that Vicky Kaushal, who was the one rubbing his nose and beside whom this reflection was seen, was recovering from dengue and just had some lemon and hot water.

What’s more- it is the same house where Karan Johar’s mother stays with him. He said,  "My mother, 5 minutes before this video, was sitting with us. It was that kind of a family, happy, social gathering, where friends were sitting and having a good time and we were listening to some music, having some good food and having good conversational energy there. There was nothing else going on."

It also seems that he is pretty disappointed with such accusations. "I don't react very well to these baseless accusations because that's what they were, baseless."
