Kareena Kapoor Khan Quotes A Sum Of 12 Crores To Portray Sita’s Role; Makers Reconsider Casting

After welcoming baby number 2 into the world, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is now gearing up to resume work. The beauty currently has Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan in her kitty, which she has completed, along with Veere Di Wedding 2 and Hansal Mehta's next. Well, it was recently reported that she is also in talks with Alaukik Desai for a retelling of Hindu epic Ramayana, from Sita's point of view. While Bebo might portray the role of Sita, Ranveer Singh has reportedly been approached to play Ravana.

In a recent report shared by Bollywood Hungama, a source was quoted saying that the actress will shoot Hansal Mehta's next and Veere Di Wedding 2 before moving on to Sita, as they are smaller films whereas the mythological project will take at least 8-10 months to complete. The source further revealed, “Bebo who usually asks in the Rs. 6-8 crores range for her films has quoted a sum of Rs. 12 crores which has put the producers in a jiffy.”

The source added that as a result, makers are reconsidering their decision and are also taking the film to a younger actress as well. But Kareena remains to be their first choice. Well, let’s hope things work out between the actress and the makers because fans are looking forward to this exciting project.
