The infamous nepotism debate came back to the limelight after Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise and the industry has once again been divided into ‘outsiders’ and ‘insiders’. Well in a recent interview, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan shared her opinion on the same and stated, “The audience has made us, no one else has made us. Same people pointing fingers are the ones who have made these nepotistic stars right? Aap jaa re ho na film dekhne? Mat jao. Nobody has forced you.”

This did not go down well with netizens, who were quite surprised. As a result, they reacted to her statement by trending #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha on social media. While one user shared, “#KareenaKapoorKhan says Mat Jao. Hence please listen to her and do not watch their movies! please please banned them! Well Said Kareena!! Thanks for the motivation and pointing out mistakes !!”, another wrote: “You are right, we are the one who made mistake. Kareena and Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha was scheduled to hit theatres on Christmas this year. However, the shoot came to an abrupt halt when a lockdown was declared due to COVID-19. The team will now finish the remaining shoot in Turkey and the comedy drama will release in theatres on Christmas next year.
