Kartik Aaryan Loses Yet Another Project After Dostana 2 And Goodbye Freddie? Here's The Truth

Kartik Aaryan has been on a professional high after the success of Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The actor had been signed for several projects and most of the films had been hits. However, after the lockdown was lifted and shoots began once again, looks like Kartik has been losing projects one after the other. Firstly, he lost out on Dostana 2, one of the biggest films that he had signed and then he also amicably parted way from Ajay Bahl's next backed by Red Chillies. Now, it looks like he is has lost out on yet another project.

According to a report in HT, Kartik Aaryan was in talks with Aanand L. Rai for a gangster film, but looks like he won't be a part of it. According to a source, “Kartik was in advanced level talks with Aanand, and had read the script and heard the narration, too. But, before he could sign on the dotted line, things fell apart. The fact that Karan dropped Kartik seems to have influenced others. So, this could be the third instance where Kartik maybe losing out on getting to work with an established filmmaker like Aanand.”

Rumours of Kartik collaborating with Aanand L. Rai started doing the rounds when the actor was snapped outside the filmmaker's office in February. The source further added that now he is considering to cast Ayushmann Khurrana instead. However, a spokesperson of Aanand L. Rai refuted the rumours and said, "These are baseless rumours. We’ve met Kartik for a different film and we’re still talking. We’ve taken another film altogether to Ayushmann and this is a complete mix up."
