Kartik Aaryan To Recreate John Abraham's Iconic Beach Sequence From The Original In Dostana 2

Kartik Aaryan has some exciting projects in his kitty but Dostana 2 is something that we are all excited to see. The sequel to the 2008 comedy, where Ahishek Bahcchan and John Abraham pretend to be gay to share flat with Priyanka Chopra, also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Laksh Lalvani in the lead. Now reports are that Dostana 2 might have some call back to the original and Kartik Aaryan has a major role in it.

According to a Spotboye report, Kartik will be seen recreating John Abraham’s iconic beach sequence where he flaunted his perfectly toned body walking from the ocean and even giving a peek of his bum. The report also suggests that Kartik was shooting for the same at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai recently. The sequence is supposed to take place in a dream.

Speaking about the film earlier Karan Johar who is bankrolling the project said that Dostana 2 will not project homosexuality in a caricaturish manner. "The evolution is from one 'Dostana' to the other. 'Dostana' one that released in 2008 and the 'Dostana 2' that's releasing in 2020, you will see that the representation is accurate, non-caricaturish and on point, talking about sexuality in a way that will not make you cringe while watching it. So therein lies the fact that in the last 12 years, there has been a solid change in the way we depict gay characters. Even in 'Kapoor & Sons' and the way it was depicted," the filmmaker had told PTI.
