    Katrina Kaif’s upcoming film, Sooryavanshi might have been stalled due to the coronavirus outbreak and the ensuing lockdown, but the actress is all set for new projects! Katrina seems to have signed her next and if reports are to be believed, then she will collaborate with Amitabh Bachchan for Queen director Vikas Bahl’s next.

    According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the film would be a slice-of-life comedy. A source close to the development was quoted saying, “ The film is tentatively titled ‘Deadly’ as the story is centred around a funeral. Katrina loved the basic premise, which essentially traces the protagonist’s journey of self-discovery with humorous undertones, and gave an instant go-ahead to Vikas.” It has also been said that hers would be a multi-layered character and the source added, “She is looking to push the envelope and explore new genres in this phase of her career which, in a way, is a journey of self-discovery too.”

    It has also been reported that Amitabh Bachchan might play Katrina’s father in the film. The same source revealed, “Vikas and Katrina have discussed the central character of the father with Amitabh Bachchan, who has shown a keen interest in doing the film. However, he is yet to sign on dotted line.” The formalities were to be closed by March, but given the pandemic, there has been some delay.
