KBC 11: Emraan Hashmi Reveals He Became Batman During Son Ayaan's Chemotherapy Sessions Because He Refused To Eat

Emraan Hashmi took the hotseat on Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 opposite his Chehre co-star Amitabh Bachchan recently. The trailer of Emraan’s film The Body dropped in a few days ago, where the actor is working with another veteran star Rishi Kapoor, and the actor has gotten busy with the promotions of the film. On the quiz show the actor talked about a rather difficult time of his life, his son’s cancer diagnosis.

Ayaan, Emraan’s son was just five when he was diagnosed with the disease five years ago. The actor was devastated and went on to talk about how his son going through chemotherapy sessions would throw a fit and refused to eat.

The actor said he and his wife would trick the young one and had superheroes to their rescue, “It isn’t easy for a child to take chemotherapy. Naturally, he would throw fits in hospital and throw things and refuse to have food, which was much needed at that time for his immunity. When all our tactics to make him eat failed, to finally make him eat, I would go out of the hospital room and meanwhile, my wife would save my phone number as Batman and change my display picture to that of the Superhero. My wife would give the phone to him and I would convince him to eat as I know he wouldn’t refuse Batman ever. That’s how Ayaan gained proper nutrition during his time in the hospital."

On KBC 11 Emraan was raising money for the support group called Cuddle Foundation that fund for the food of poor kids suffering from cancer and takes care that they get proper nutrition.
