Kiara Advani: When I Had Started My Career, I Used To Pray To Not Get Stereotyped

One of the most gorgeous and talented actresses of Bollywood, Kiara Advani has been winning hearts with one hit film after another. She began her journey in 2014 with Fugly but rose to prominence with her spectacular performance in Karan Johar’s directorial Lust Stories. She went on to win hearts with hits like Kabir Singh and Good Newwz and is currently riding high on the success of her Netflix original film Guilty.

In a recent chat with Bollywood Life, the beauty opened up about her different characters and shared, “When I had started my career, I used to pray to not get stereotyped. I used to see actresses and put them in boxes. Whatever films I was offered, they were very different from each other. So it was not a conscious choice but something that I had hoped for. These films came to me, I wasn't chasing a different role. I just got different offers. I just got lucky that people didn't put me in a bracket.”

She went on to state, “The minute Kabir Singh became the film that it did, and people believed that she is Preeti, Good Newwz came and they were like but she can also be a Punjabi like Monica. Now the response has been very positive with Guilty. I’m hoping they love Nanki for the character that she is. Being versatile for an actor is your longest yearning.”

Well, 2020 is going to be a pretty exciting year for Kiara’s fans. The actress will next be seen on the big screen in Laxmmi Bomb opposite Akshay Kumar, which is one of the most-anticipated films of the year. Other projects in her kitty include Indoo Ki Jawani, Shershaah and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
