Audiences are very passionate about their opinions about content today. If they like something, they will praise it with all their heart. However, if they feel some content is boring, irrelevant or just not up to the mark, all hell breaks loose. That’s exactly what happened with Indian Idol 12. It is one of the most loved and watched reality shows on television but sadly fans did not enjoy a recent episode which was a tribute to late legend Kishore Kumar. They mercilessly trolled judges Himesh Reshammiya and Neha Kakkar along with the contestants for singing his evergreen songs. Well, Kishore Kumar’s son Amit Kumar, who graced the sets for the special episode as the chief guest, has now revealed that he also did not enjoy himself.

In a chat with ETimes, he was quoted saying, “The truth is that nobody can sing like Kishore Kumar, he was a mountain of a personality and man of many faces. The youngsters of today have no idea about him, they just know 'Roop Tera Mastana' from Aradhna.” He went on to share, “I did what I was told. I was told sabko praise karna hai. I was told jo jaisa bhi gaaye usko uplift karna hai because it's a tribute to Kishore da. I thought it will be a homage to my father. But once there, I just followed what I was asked to do. I had told them to give me portions of the script in advance, but nothing of that sort happened.”

When asked why he said yes to appear on the show, Amit shared that everybody needs money and the makers gave him the price he demanded. He explained that his father was also particular about money. Amit further stated that he has a lot of respect for the show and its judges and participants, and feels that such things happen every now and then, like some films do well while others are flops. However, he maintained that he didn’t enjoy the episode and wanted to stop it mid-way.
